    Under Lead college Scheme Department of Chemistry Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Arts, Science and Commerce has organized on one day seminar on Tuesday 29th March 2022 The theme for seminar was “Science : Past, Present and Future”

            For inauguration of Seminar, Shri. S. A. Mohite, H.O.D. of Botany  Department, Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Satarawas president .  Other faculty members of  Chemistry Department like -Dr. C. P. Mane, H.O.D. of Chemistry Department, Dr. A. M. Nalawade, Dr. Mrs. R. A. Nalawade, Shri. D. V. Rupnawar & other teaching faculty members  & Resource Person Dr. S. H. Mujawar, Department of Physics, Y.C.I.S. Satara. & Dr. R. V. Hangarge, Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry Y.C.I.S. Satara & students of B.Sc.-III , M. Sc-I, II were present for seminar. Topic : Solar Cell Applications of Nanomaterials

Resource Person for session-I of Seminar was Dr. S. H. Mujawar, Department of Physics, Y.C.I.S. Satara. He has delivered his lecture on Solar Cell Applications of Nanomaterials. In the beginning of his talk he explained how referencing can be done while choosing topic for projects. In his talk he had glance on the history of Nanotechnology. He revised famous statement “There are plenty of Rooms at the bottom”of Richard Fynmann, who was first scientist   talking about nanomaterials. Dr. S. H. Mujawar also explained size of nanoparticle is 50000 time smaller than human hair. He explained various fields of Nanotechnolies and its need in the future. Students Present for seminar was=

Topic : Diabetic Drug Development : Past and Present              

                 

            The Resource Person for session-II of the Seminar was Dr. R. V. Hangarge, Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry Y.C.I.S. Satara. His Seminar topic was “Diabetic Drug Development: Past and Present”. In his talk about 90 students were present. He has shared his working experience in Pharmaceutical Industry with Students. He has explained detail two types of Diabetics Type 1 and Type 2. He mentioned Type 1 Diabetic as a Hyperglycemia caused due to High Sugar Level in Blood and Type 2 as Hypoglycemia caused due to Decreased Sugar Level in the Blood. He told that Type 2 Diabetics is more dangerous than Type 1. He suggests that more precaution needed in Type 2.   He told some symptoms of  Diabetics like Dry thought, feeling Hungry and Urination etc.

            In his talk he explained how to file patent briefly also gave information about intellectual property rights. He also explained about instruments used in Industry for Analysi
