6. Aim of Event
Ozone Day has been Celebrated On 16th September
2022 all over the World. The theme of this year Ozone Day is “Global
Co-operation Protecting Life on Earth.” On
the occasion of Ozone day Department of Chemistry has organised such events in this
year. The aim to organize such a event is just to encourage the students to
participate in social activity and make them aware about major problems
resposible for disturbance of eco system and find the solutoins to control
balance of eco system.
7. Abstract of Poster
The Subject for poster presentation was Ozone layer Depletion.
In the begining they explained about
discovery of ozone and history of celebration of ozone day. In poster they mensioned role of ozone layer in
absorption od harmful UV b type radiations and protection of life on earth. They
explained about stratosphere and what are real causes for ozone layer depletion
and at the end the mensioned solutions to control ozone layer depletion for
maintaining the balance of eco system.
8. About an Event
The Posters were prepared by the students with the help and
guidance of their teachers which was fascinating. At 03:30 pm, the students
welcomed the chief guest and president. The Vice Principal feliciated chief guest and Head of Department
feliciated President of function by offering bookey.
Introduction of event was done by Head of Department Dr. A.
M. Nalawade. He explained about the importance of Ozone Day and why we are
celebrating Ozone day. He had glance on the effect of ozone layer depletion and
its effect on disturbance of eco system and also suggested the importance of
tree plantation.
In the beginning of M.
Sc. II year students presented “One Act Play” about Ozone layer Depletion. The
chief guest of function Mr. Shekhar A. Mohite is wel known botanist. He shared
his thought about Ozone Day Celebration and awarness about tree plantation and
role of plants in saving Ozone layer. He also asked student to take Paryavaran
owth for protection of life On the
Earth. He also given slogan “Plant Trees and Grow Trees.”
Mr. Shekhar A. Mohite Inaugurated the Poster on the request
of Head of the Department and asked students to present the Poster briefly. Students
were well groomed, excited and confident while telling about the poster subject.
They precisely explained the importance of Ozone day and They explained about
disturbance of eco system and role of ozone abut to protecyion of life on earth
from hazardous radiation coming from sun. Students also explained solutions for
controling Ozone layer depletion.The faculty of the department and students
enjoyed that Poster presentation. The queries asked by chief guest was satisfactorily
answerd by the students. Hence he did not miserable to appreciate them.
The Presidential Speech was given by vice
Principal Dr. C. P. Mane In his speech he explained about Global warming and
Green House Effect. He explained causes for increasing of temperature and also
asked to plant tree and take responsibility for grow that plant.
In the end, the vote of thanks was given by Mr.
D. V. Rupnawar. At the time of event, all the faculty members were present. To
be honest, that was an amazing and informative event for students.
