The aim to organize such a wallpaper presentation is to encourage students and develop their interest in chemistry through dissemeniation subject related information among the chemistry fraternity. Tetracyclines (TCs), is a broad spectrum antibiotic, widely used to treat a various non-viral infections bacteria. The irrational abuse of TC may greatly harm people’s health in variety of way. The repeated or often consumption of TCs may affect the growth of teeth, induces allergic reactions4, promote bacterial resistance to antibiotics, liver damage, accumulative toxicity and gastrointestinal disturbance. Thus, to ensure human safety and protection of health, quantification of TCs in different food stuffs become a considerably important. Hence wall paper was presented on the detection of tetracycline.

The wallpaper was prepared by the students with the help and guidance of their teachers. At 02:00 pm, the students welcomed the chief guest of an event. The Head of the Department feliciated chief guest by offering bookey. The wall paper describes synthesis of fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) by a simple, low cost and one step chemical oxidation method from waste tea residue. The optical properties of CDs were ascertained by UV and spectrofluorometer techniques. The CDs were immobilized in clarigel films and utilized as an onsite strip-based sensor under UV lamp. The CDs incorporated strip is further investigated as luminescent probe for selective determination of tetracycline (TCs) in human urine sample suggested the practical applicability of the developed method.

The queries asked by chief guest was satisfactorily answerd by the students. Hence he did not miserable to appreciate them. In the end, Mr. D.V. Rupnawar, Associate Profeesor expressed vote of thanks. At the time of event, all the faculty members were present.
